As someone who manages a similar project, let me warn you that most
people are openly hostile at least at first. I don't know why. I
can't see how such a project harms those who complain.

On other hand, don't expect help. You will have to do 99% of the work
yourself. The main help you will get is people pointing out typos and
other errors.

You would think a wiki would work better than a site like mine where I
explicitly control the content. However there was a wiki project a
while back put together by a several regulars. It petered out. I
suspect they had no idea how much work they were getting themselves in
for.
