Hi

Is it possible to use Java to stop another application in windows from
starting?

For example I might want to stop microsoft word from launching. I tried
implementing a file lock on winword.exe but Word seemed quite happy to
start despite this.

cheers David

Do not think so because you would have to issue native OS API's to do what you want to do. 'C' could be a better.
