As someone who manages a similar project, let me warn you that most
people are openly hostile at least at first. I don't know why. I
can't see how such a project harms those who complain.
(a) Someone who babels about "the ultimate programming manual" needs to grow up or needs his head or medication checked. This is new economy script kiddy BS (see the e-mail address: "da404LewZer", how 31337...).
(b) It fragments the community even more.
(c) These are drive-by postings. The OP has apparently no interest to contribute here. He just treats the group as an announcement forum and us as cheap idiots who should work on his "ultimate programming manual".
You would think a wiki would work better than a site like mine where I
explicitly control the content. However there was a wiki project a
while back put together by a several regulars. It petered out. I
suspect they had no idea how much work they were getting themselves in
for.
It could also be that the "market" for online Java help websites was and is pretty much saturated. And more is not better. Better is better.
