The wrapper generators I've seen so far do not allow me to specify
anything more fancy than just a constant integer as a value for the -Xmx
parameter. Currently I'm using izpack (http://www.izforge.com/izpack), I
see thhis issue listed as a feature request for JSmooth, but I know of
no wrapper generator which allows me to specify anything fancy.
I had assumed you were writing your own wrapper. Have you considered
that? The source code for java.exe (and javaw.exe) is in the Windows
JDK. You can modify that (yes, Sun grants permission for this to Java
developers for distributing their applications) and then build it with
Visual C++ or gcc. Of course, you have to know C...
I've used C to write a launcher, which essentially just finds a jvm and
starts with a jar. I'm certainly interested in any pointer which
explains me how to turn this into a wrapper, which includes the jar.
