..Did my posting provoked you in some way?

If, on the other hand, you are the 'job
pro', I recommend you ggive the game up.
You are pathetic at it.

as I'd stated in the last post, this time I
really /have/ set follow-ups to c.l.j.help.
Bear in mind, Leonidas, that you are not the only one to post to this
newsgroup and violate the norms. Many folks post questionable "job
offers", and we as professionals have to make a determination as to their
legitimacy. Your post looked at first blush like so many that appear on
the newsgroups that are pathetic, possibly even fraudulent. How are we
supposed to know?
If the poster of the job follows the rules, such as the ones that Andrew
mentioned (not multi-posting but cross-posting, understanding that nothing
"urgent" happens here, etc.), then we have a sense that they are
potentially worthy. If they don't, then your best candidates are going to
dismiss your post as bull***.
If they multi-post, that is, post individually separate messages to
multiple groups, we lose respect. Someone we respect would have
cross-posted, that is, posted one exact copy across multiple groups the
way Andrew did. There is a difference.
You are going to get the leavings, the scrapings, the bottom of the barrel
if you do not market your opportunity correctly. Is that truly what you
want? If so, then poor you, because stars like myself, Oliver, Patricia,
Chris and others will not look twice and you will be stuck with patzers.

Thank you for your kind answer (there is no irony here). Listen, I did post
exactly the same thing across all the java relevant groups I found, but I
did that in multiple posts, Is that so bad?
Being an IT pro (but no dev) for some years, I still haven't used the usenet
as much as I would like (you realize that the web and various forums do a
good job). I have been lurking around some sysadmin related groups, but you
surely know that netiqutte differs from an interest group to the other (and
from usenet to forums etc). I have no reason to disturb you. I really look
for some help for a project of mine. It is a legitimate offer. I am no
recruiter. I politely sent an 'ad'. That is all.
