Listen, I did post exactly the same thing across all the java relevant
groups I found, but I did that in multiple posts, Is that so bad?
Being an IT pro (but no dev) for some years, I still haven't used the
usenet as much as I would like (you realize that the web and various
forums do a good job).
A lot of us subscribe to multiple newsgroups, so when you multipost in 8
different groups, we receive 8 copies of your message, and it gets tedious
to find all the duplicates and mark them all as read.
http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/usenet/xpost.html has more details on the
difference between crossposting and multiposting.
As for the content of your post, I don't really have a problem with job
postings, but I probably wouldn't bother investigating further into your
offer unless you'd provide some ballpark idea of the level of renumeration
($20/h? $40/h? $120/h? $12/h?).
Also, I'm not sure where you live, but in North America I believe it's
illegal (or at least, legally dangerous) to ask about a potential hire's
nationality. If a candidate doesn't get hired, they could claim it was due
to racism and sue.
