Hi All,
I have Win2K with NT.
I have the following list of Java programs installed. I need to
lighten the load because of space restrictions. Please advise which
ones I should/could remove that would not interfere with my study of
Java using a IDE that accesses the most recent tools.jar.
J2SE Development Kit 5.0 Update 5
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9
Java Advanced Imaging 1.1.1_01 For JDK
Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6
Thanks.

Hi bH,
You can remove the first five installation namely
J2SE Development Kit 5.0 Update 5
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9
Java Advanced Imaging 1.1.1_01 For JDK
My Question before you remove the installation is whether the require
the Java Advanced Imaging 1.1.1_01 for JDK. if so, dont uninstall Java
Advanced Imaging.
This package will get installed if there is already existing JRE or
you would have downloaded from sun website as a package (with inbuilt
JRE in it)
After uninstalling the first four, try to use the Java Advanced
Imaging, mostly it will work if not, point the Java Advanced Imaging
to the NEW JRE 6.
Thanks
