I am building an application where we need some default settings to run
it. User shall then have the possiblity to change them.
I have the following idea.
- Load defaultApp.properites ( in my classpath ) using
getResourceAsStream();
- Then user can set new value on properties in application.
- Before exiting the application new property values will be save to a
file (myApp.properties) in my home directory.
- Next time application is started we look for a myApp.properties in my
home directory. If it exists and is loadable then we use it else use the
defaultApp.properties.
