With your eagerness and willingness to learn you will do very well indeed. Keep at it. It's an amazing feeling to have ideas come together at a certain point in your learning, when you can suddenly tell yourself, "Wow, I get this."
Well, not always suddenly. Sometimes it's more like you realize you've been understanding something for a while now, and you had forgotten for a time that it used to be so difficult.
