If he _has_ a contract, it (hopefully) specifies which rights are
reserved by, and granted to, which parties.
If he _doesn't_ have a contract, it's already too late for him to start
worrying about his copyright, since he probably doesn't even have one.
Either way, trying to secure his copyright by obfuscation is pretty much
a futile effort.
And should the OP expect to get a next job from this company....
