You are intentionally imprecise. You might mean anything by "text-
apps", where I meant those running in a genuine text video mode or
terminal, rather than in a terminal emulator or otherwise displaying a
text-oriented interface in an embedding GUI environment (or merely in
a Super VGA mode for that matter; an MS-DOS app could display
arbitrarily many glyphs at once if it set an SVGA mode and painted
them onto the framebuffer of course; try doing the same with a genuine
hardware VT100 terminal, a faithful emulator of same, or an old system
whose graphics card is genuinely in a text mode rather than a graphics
mode, though, and see how far you get).

BTW, I notice that you and your friends have stepped up the attack
campaign. The rate of attack posts has been increasing, from about 10
a day a week ago to 20 a day midweek and now nearly 40 a day. This is
both pointless and grossly unfair as it requires me to spend ever-
increasing amounts of time responding to debunk your publicly-
promulgated BS instead of doing whatever else I'd rather be doing, and
eventually could actually exhaust my resources completely. If it
continues I will be forced to start sending complaints to all of your
ISPs. Meanwhile I offer a truce: stop posting attack posts, and after
one round of final rebuttals I will stop also, leaving a tie score,
and we can all then get on with our lives with no one feeling they've
been left unfairly in the position of having had something stolen from
them and not been given the chance to even the score.

Fair enough?

If you refuse, then I will begin complaining to all of your ISPs on
the grounds of sheer volume of off-topic posts and nasty content of
said posts, while largely limiting my replies to short and civil "None
of the nasty things...are true" responses so that you cannot claim
symmetrical behavior in a countercomplaint. Your ISPs will receive one
complaint for each attack post posted via that ISP. When those ISPs
start receiving, collectively, 40 complaints a day about specific
users' usenet activities, they will certainly take notice.

The first attack post dated on or after Nov. 10, 2007 will be
considered to be such a refusal on the part of whoever wrote it and
will be the first to be the subject of such a complaint. Likewise,
*every* attack post I find on or after the tenth will be the subject
of a complaint to the ISP of its poster. That will continue until the
attacks stop. And it will resume if the attacks ever resume. For the
sake of defending one who is not apparently present to defend himself,
this will include any post that attacks a certain absent party that
has been mistaken for me, as well, particularly as it's clear that
attacks upon this individual are meant to be interpreted as applying
to me due to said mistaken identity, and therefore in intent (if not
in execution) constitute attacks directed at me. (Just because you
missed doesn't make a thrown rock not count as an attack after all!)

This state of affairs is unfortunate, and also unavoidable. I cannot
permit you to let nasty and false statements about me stand
uncorrected as part of the record. Nor can I in good conscience
tolerate your unprovoked attacks on that particular absent individual,
especially when those are also aimed at me and miss only by my perhaps-
temporary good fortune, which is also that innocent third party's
undeserved bad fortune. It follows that you cannot keep increasing the
speed with which you post attacks without my having to change
strategy, and also that that change cannot consist simply of ignoring
some of the attacks. If fighting "clean" will eventually take more
than 24 hours a day of work, which would mean I'd have to let some of
your attacks through, then I will simply have to fight dirty; it's
that simple. And if I do so, I will do so with maximum devastation to
ensure a swift end to this nonsense.

Now go away and leave me alone. All of you. Or else.
