You are intentionally imprecise. You might mean anything by "text-
apps", where I meant those running in a genuine text video mode or
terminal, rather than in a terminal emulator or otherwise displaying a

Here is this misconception again. The text-app is the *same* whether
it is running from a real old-iron terminal, or from some emulation.

I've frequently said, that I use a terminal emulation, not a real
hardware-terminal. And I said, that my non-GUI mail-client can
display greek, russian, and chinese at the same time, when run
in a unicode-capable terminal-emulation.

I can't see, how I was supposed to see that your remark about codepages
(to which my mail-client was supposed to be limited) was directed to
any old terminal-hardware.

If it continues I will be forced to start sending complaints to all of your

Yes, my replies are
- either focussed on some facts on which we disagree (e.g. about
usefulness and possible features of text-apps running in emulations
of hardware that perhaps doesn't even exist)
- or responding to your own claims of your infallibility.
I've no reason to be afraid of any complaints.
