A frankly ludicrous claim. You can't make lag originating on remote
routers simply go away just by having some kind of l33t 5k1ll2 -- at
least, not by having ones that don't involve actually hacking into
routers and diddling them to give your packets priority or something.

All you need is proper software that knows how to buffer key strokes
(my tools at least have this) and a proper typing system that doesn't
depend on the crutch of constant visual confirmation in order to write
the next letter/word/whatever.

And local echo will just have you seeing double.

If you've misconfigured it

Ridiculous. The remote application can't possibly know whether you
have local echo on at your end, so it will still echo everything you
type.

If it doesn't know, then you've misconfigured it.
