OK compromise. Status information that's often invisible, and app
information that's sometimes invisible, instead of some app
information being *always* invisible. :P
According to "Lex bbound", there cannot be more than one application
inside screen, or there would be *three* (gasp!) applications fighting
against each other for that single hardware-cursor ...
Baloney. The one hardware cursor simply has to always represent the
cursor position in the currently-foregrounded session, or the UI of
that application becomes unusable.
