On the surface you seem like an
intelligent and rational man. With crackpots like Archimedes Plutonium
and Mentifex, it's immediately obvious that reason is useless, so
nobody bothers. With you, you always seem like you're just about to
understand or at least say something intelligent -- but you never do.
Your insanity only manifests in the long view, when you have time to
pass, post by post, from rational, measured replies to whining to
anger
to hysterics to foaming at the mouth. Sadly, the ill will you foster
pollutes groups for lot longer than you yourself do.

When you're acting rationally, you actually seem like an analytical,
intelligent human being. Your problem (and it is your problem, not
mine
or anyone else's) is that you have all the social maturity and empathy
of a spoiled 5-year-old. You've learned enough to discover that people
pay attention to you when you cry or shout, but you've never
progressed
to understanding why that attention is so unsatisfying for you. I
don't
believe you're capable of growing past that. I certainly don't believe
you'll ever let anyone give you the help and support you need.

Quite. Part of the reason I've continued to participate in this
thread is that I keep thinking that it should be possible to have
some sort of sensible discussion with the rational parts of the
Twisted/etc. persona, if I can only keep my cool and avoid saying
anything he (?) would perceive as an insult. Of course it's very
difficult .... And your post makes me think that maybe I'm just
fooling myself. Hm.
