Which won't make the emacs-batch crud thingy have a result for you any
sooner. The reverse, if anything.
Watching the screen flicker a few times a
second between a command prompt and emacs with its mini-buffer
flickering in and out of existence as it processes ghostly input.
Why would anything flicker between a command prompt and emacs?
Because emacs keeps opening and closing, puppeted by a script, in this
hypothetical scenarion, remember?
