Oh, really? Why do you still believe that it is impossible for a tool

Eclipse does much more than just one job, of course.
It's a Java IDE. The framework underlying it can be, and is, used for
other things, but the application itself is a Java IDE.
[insults Eclipse by calling it "the new emacs"]
You evil, vile foul-mouthed *cad*! How dare you compare Eclipse to
that execrable, wonky, awful-UI piece of legacy crud?
This would seem to explain a great deal. Although I'm not sure what
variety of aberrant psychology will, in turn, explain *it*.

I know it well enough to know that you're lying, and none of the nasty
things that you have said or implied about me are at all true.
An irrelevant one. We were, of course, discussing what I find
intolerable in a UI, not plugin architectures.
So when we were /actually/ discussing the emacs plugin architecture
No. Read what I wrote again. We were discussing what I find
intolerable in a UI. You went off on a tangent about plugin
architectures.

Futile. None of the nasty things that you have said or implied about
me are at all true.
