You are terminally confused. I was referring to Bent deriving
amusement by attacking other people. Those other peoples' expense, in
this sense of the phrase, is not by their own choice; it is more as if
Bent mugged them and stole their wallet than as if they paid money to
Bent willingly and he then simply failed to deliver the promised goods
in return.
