Someone on the Pebble mailing list sent me a fix. It had to do with
gzipping the text before sending it down the link. So Java didn't detect
the issue because it wasn't having the server gzip the content before
sending it.
Now my problem is solved, but in case I run into this kind of thing again
in the future, I might want to improve my little test class above to try
the various kinds of encoding that the server is capable of sending.
How would I change my code to do so?
