All the mainstream Java IDEs (Eclipse, NetBeans, IDEA, JBuilder, JDeveloper, WSAD) are written in Java, so you don't really have anything to compare them to, other than JCreator, which is not nearly as full-featured as something like IDEA or Eclipse.
