Strange .war deployment problem with WebLogic 7.0.2.0 - PLEASE HELP

I am trying to deploy a J2EE application on a Weblogic 7.0.2.0 server
running on a Windows 2000 machine. I am using Ant 1.6.0 to compile,
create JAR files and deploy on the Weblogic server. However, I have an
odd problem. Whwn I start the server using the Windows script, I get
an error message that the .war file cannot be loaded. No exceptions
are thrown. When I use the Administrative console to check on the
deployments, I see that the .war file is deployed. This
is very puzzling. Could anyone please provide some hints as to waht
might be going on? Thanks in advance for your help.
