We are a ms house(the admins know ms and novell) and are reconsidering
to host the website inhouse.
Therefore the os will be 2000 server.
I'm analyzing the pros and cons of Java and Net.
The knowledge in the language is not important in our situation.
My question is what is a preferable setting for hosting a middle sized
java website on windows.
How stable is this environment?
Which technology is preferable?
IIS + Tomcat + JSP + MySQl or the same with SQL Server (or another DB
like SAP DB)?
Apache + Tomcat + Servlets + DB? or Rosin or Jetty..
You see I'm slightly overwhelmed by the possibilities.
The mayor issues are stability and speed combined with a moderate expense.
