    I have created a rather elaborate Java pretty printer for displaying
    Java source in colour.

    It bolds places where packages, classes, constructors, constants,
    variables and methods are defined.

    It uses distinctive, but reasonably subtle colour coding for each
    syntactic element.

    It uses variable size {} () [] for easier eyeball matching.

    It bolds returns.

    It is just as fast as JTextField.

    Look at the bottom of the page for the new Applet version. The top
    version shows how it is done with HTML.

    Eventually I will give you the choice of using an Applet or including
    colourised HTML.
