netbeans + vim

hello

i want to use vim as editor in netbeans on redhat linux 9.0. i try to do
it using external editor module found at www.netbeans.org. but there are
problems with it - some exceptions are raised during work, some editor
windows don't open etc.

i want to ask if someone integrated vim with netbeans successfuly (by
external editor or by other means)? or maybe external editor is not
stable yet, so there is no point to try it now?
