How to preserve projects in Eclipse?

We have a lot of old projects and have to keep them in project's
structure in Eclipse.
I don't know the way how to preserve and restore projects with all
thier settings.
I tried to all different ways to export/import (File Structure, zip)
but it doesn't work.
Is there any particular way to save/restore ptojects with whole entire
structure and settings?
Please, don't answer "read documentation". I alredy did it. Without
results.
CVS is not good answer too. Too many projects and, maybe they will
never be used again.
Probably I missed something but I can't find any solution.
