OpenCms as Enterprise application

I am evaluating OpenCms for my project managing a web site holding
large data of movie titles and assets, and other site sections like
news, contacts, press release, faq, help etc.

To evaluate OpenCms v6.0 as an enterprise application, i.e run it on
WebSphere application server, Integrate with EJBs, use OpenCms java
APIs to publish content in CFS, static export as Html, save content in
Oracle DB, I do not have much reference materials to read on these
topics. From the mailing list, there have not been any replies for
Database integration with XML content in v6.0 or how to use java
programs using A_CmsContentDefinition in v6.0. Looks like the v5.0
Content Definitions have been deprecated in v6.0 to avoid writing
custom java programs using JDBC.

But XML content definition (as in arcticles module available for
download) stores content in VFS only and not database. In the OpenCms
website its not clear as to what is the future enhancements or plan for
the upcoming releases to support such DB integration using XML.
For my project, I want to use OpenCms advanced features with the
application specific DB tables in Oracle as backend .

Has anyone used OpenCms for such enterprise application and using Java
apis to manage content in v6.0 ?
Can any other java based open source CMS help me ?
