NetBeans 5.5RC2: trouble with remote glassfish connection

Hi there,
I'm currently checking out NB RC2 (release candidate 2) and so far I
really like what I'm seeing. Normally I'm using Linux for development,
but yesterday I decided to give the Windows version a try as well.
To my surprise it easily contacted my remote Sun Application Server
(Glassfish, the one shipped with EE5 JDK) and denoted it as 'running'. I
could even change certain settings and check the deployed applications.
However, when I try this trick on Linux it simply waits a moment and
then doesn't display anything. When I try to change the password or such
it triggers an error, so its definitely trying to access the server, but
it won't give me the same functionality as in Windows.
Anyone got an idea what could be the trick here? Both versions were
freshly installed and were fully updated. The only difference I can
think of is that I told the Linux version to grab some settings from my
previous installation. So I'm planning to try a full and fresh
installation to see how that fares, but in the mean time I'm still
curious if someone else has encountered these issues.
