The two tools I use most often are xenu and HTML Validator.
See http://mindprod.com/jgloss/xenu.html
http://mindprod.com/jgloss/htmlvalidator
Xenu finds broken links very quickly but has many problems. Eventually
I plan to write a replacement. The biggest problem is it thinks all
applets are broken links.
HTML Validator checks HTML markup syntax and CSS syntax.
One other tool is Topstyle for checking CSS and checking for invalid
classes in my HTML.. It won't run under Vista, so I have to fire up my
old Win2K machine to run it.
