It depends on your users. If you want maximal
accessibility by everyone on the planet, you must
(sadly) stick to the braindamaged Micro$oft
Virtual Machine. I did so for a news applet
in a large Italian website

If you have any control on your users
(intranet, extranet, whatever), you
may try to persuade them to switch to the
Sun VM.
