I use Metrowerks CodeWarrior - http://www.metrowerks.com/MW/Develop/IDE.htm
but it's not free.
Also, BlueJ (for testing classes is a wonderful too. You might want to
check it out. It's free.
You can also download NetBeans from Sun's site, I think it's free too.
