The popular vote does not determine the outcome, it is the electoral
vote that does. That vote was cast on Dec. 18 and was tallied on
Jan. 5 Technically speaking, Bush *was* elected.

When your only choice is to elect a politician, it doesn't really
matter whether you have a say or not.
