This is pretty funny.
There is little question about the discreteness of charge, assuming
monopoles provides solutions to several puzzling problems (and makes
some patch antenna design simple). Basically the 'observations' in
this area are relatively noise-free....yet people do not think
monopoles exist.

Here, on the other hand, the observations are few and noisy. There
are probably more anomalous results (and objects) than understood
objects. Yet many believe in blackholes, and in the biggest blackhole
of all time. It must be the cheering section.
The biggest laugh (for me) comes with evaporating black holes, shades
of Bondi, Gold and Hoyle!
