I don't really know anything about game development, but the arguments
I've seen in threads like this seem to boil down to the fact that the
tool chains are written for C++ game developers, not Lisp game
developers. Naughty Dog had a tool, but has apparently abandoned it.

Rather than jumping straight into games (which seem rather complex to
me), perhaps it would be wiser to build up the required tool chains
for Lisp development of games? Lisp is quite good for building tools.
