Hi,
I just created a new group only for very newbies Common Lisp
Programmers.
This group is only suitable for developers trying to learn Common Lisp
as a new language, or just looking for some very basic lisp snippet of
code.
The idea is to have a corner for learning Common Lisp before becoming a
real lisp programmer that could participate here.
The group is for first level programming students, or for developers
using another programming languages like me.
I have experience in C#, VB.NET, and want to go into functional
languages, particularly Common Lisp.

You are duplicating previous efforts. Go to groups.yahoo.com and search for groups with the string "lisp" in their names, for example. Maybe it's better to revive one of those because there are already people registered there.

Most of these groups are not very active (to put it nicely). The hard part is not to create such a group, the hard part is to keep it alive. This requires a lot of commitment from a handful of people.

Another comment: Maybe it's better to create a mailing list as part of common-lisp.net, or so.

Good luck,
Pascal
