I did not know there was such a thing, so I may be wrong, but c.l.l is the only place I have learned anything about programming, so i think you might be guilty of a knee-jerk ignorance, witness your justification: "typical ...blah blah blah". You need to look past surface similarity to something meaningful if you want to make sense.
