Problems w/ symlinks & portable Lisp code


I've been having some very ugly problems dealing with symbolic links
as I've been working on the unit tests of ASDF-INSTALL. I've
summarized some of my experiences in a blog article

The kinds of problems I'm running into are mostly a bother for
software that needs to be highly portable, but I'm curious about how
often others have run into them, and what kinds of solutions you've
come up with.
