Wow. The end of a usenet era.

I had a few modest tussels with Erik, and he was certainly the main
reason I read cll.

I am pretty much in the "despise him yet fascinated by him" camp.

While he was clearly very smart, I found his intense invective
completely unacceptable.

Still, RIP.
