Re: Axiom or Maxima?

I think maxima can be a good tool for math education, but to compete
with playstation and friends, it need a good library for making games
or live simulations, so that student can visually appreciate the power
of math.

I would like to see a good integration of maxima with openoffice
spreadsheet and R (statistics). Also to integrate with sage, using
all the libraries available for python and a good ffi with c and c++.

I don't know much about Axiom but perhaps Axiom is better for
developers and Maxima is better for students.

Axiom sound like Euclides geometry (that is not for the fast world
(ten seconds for the next click to exit) of nowadays)
