Help with arabic language

Hello

I am trying to insert some arabic text from a textfield directly into the
database (browser is IE on WinXP)

When the data is typed, the displayed input is okay, however once I submit,
the written values are something like this (in the database):

اثممخ صخقمي
Then when the field is being edited through the web interface, the text box
will also contain these unicode values instead of the original arabic text.

Also, using Opera 7.23 as browser, while typing the text the display is
fine, however after submit, I see something like this:
???????????

I want to be able to enter some data into the database, edit it through a
web interface and then search for it later and display it using a query.

Can anyone plz suggest what changes should I make in order to add primarily
arabic support?
