GD, cut pieces from a image?

Hey all,

can someone reffere me to a example that cut's pieces from a existing Image
and save them somwere?

I have a image of 500 x 500 and i want to cut every 10 x 10 pixel of the
image :)

loop 50x
 cut 10 x 10 piece
    save it
        loop 50y next y line
            cut 10x 10 pixel
