PHP 4.3.6 POST problems (but not GET)

I am using PHP 4.3.6, and when I call the GET method of form posting,
my scripts run fine. But, when I call POST, it doesn't work at all or
reloads the same page.
    I know it's not a webserver problem, because it works in other
languages (jsp pages). Anyone have ANY ideas? I have been working on
this for over two months, with no luck. TIA.
