I am from C/C++ programming background.
My OS is windows 98 and I don't know how to run a php code. I don't
even know weather I have a web server?!. My computer is a remote system
which is connected with internet.
I thought the php program will run simply like a .html file. But it
is not.I have downloaded the php-5.0.3-win32.zip from php.com web site.
I went through the long installation .txt file. I did try all the
information try-outs in my registry. But I am still unable to run a
simple "hello world program". I followed the manual installation, that
is ,unzipping the compressed file and adding a path in autoexec.bat. I
still don't know how to run a php program.
Do I need to download a web server to run a simple hello world
program of a php? How to check weather I have a web server or not?
Totally confused. Can any body help?
Thanks
