Not when you don't know any better. Besides I am really good at F
& R and actually have fun working out Grep patterns. Error is
something a;ll beings are prone to, from the time of that bite of
the forbidden apple.

As for uploading the changed files to a remote server, yes, this
is definitely more time consuming, especially for dialup (I was
on it for years and damn hell, I wish I had looked into
includes!) But on broadband, it is hardly a significant time
thing - especially if you have your file structure well managed
so you can grab all the html...

Even on broadband it makes a difference if you have to upload just one
file or two hundred.


I am not disagreeing. But it is sure no a big deal for small
sites.

I am driven to be skeptical of the starry eyed spruiking for
them... Probably because of the irritaing time i have had
mastering some of the issues involved! Sort of revenge. <g>

breeze, for sure. But not everyone!

These things are set up _once_, then you simply use them.

As for energy savings, elegance, avoiding a "stupidish" approach,
this is different altogether. These things are real! But I doubt
there can be any time savings for the web developer to speak of
with most sites.

Another question: What do you prefer - embedded or external stylesheets?

Look, Micha, I can see this one coming like the cricket ball is
football sized... There is nothing to master to have the sensible
option, the external css. It is just a head link reference.
Includes are part of a whole new way of operating, they are not
just one little line and the magic wand is all waved and we trip
off into fairyland.
