Hi,
I have an array of ORDER DETAILS (see below). I would like to pull out
of the order Object array all the [products] in the order that have the
[attributes] [option] equal to 'Subscription' (this example the order
has 2 subscription products and 2 products that are not subscriptions,
but other orders may have more or less), and put them into a new array
with the following structure:
Jerry, please don't multi-post. Cross-post if you must, but don't waste
the time of multiple news groups trying to give you an answer while one
group isn't aware you're getting help somewhere else. It is very rude.
Plus, others can't see the answer...and they may have learned something
new.
Thanks.
Hi Jessica,
I'm new to using news groups, so unfamiliar with all the protocols. I
would not have thought asking my questions in different groups would be
considered a waste of anyones time. I thought that was reserved for binary
posting which use considerable resources(bandwidth/storage). Seems I would
not have received the benefit of J.O. Aho's help if I hadn't. I really
appreciate J.O. Aho's help and yours as well. Also I plan on posting J.O.
Aho's solution on comp.lang.php and giving him credit because I do
understand that others may browse the group for similar solutions. I did
before I posted. I will look around for a usenet FAQ to familiarize myself
with the protocols. I know I had seen one once.
I am also taking Curtis' advice and bottom-posting : )
Best Regards, Jerry
I hope I didn't sound like I was scolding you. You needed an answer and you
did what you knew to do in order to get one. The best thing about the
internet is the sharing of information. I just wanted you to know that the
efforts of many newsgroups could be combined to work for you and no one
would be duplicating efforts. That way, you get the best possible solution
to your problem in far less time. Again, the extra benefit is that other
people with similar problems are more likely to see the solution(s) too.
Thank you so much for posting Aho's solution in comp.lang.php. This let
everyone know that the problem was solved...and others who were curious can
now find an answer via either group.
Have a good one, Jerry.
All the best.
.
