Almost every country has it's own keyboard layout. It's just like that.
It's just being used to it. I'm in france and got a french keyboard (but
learner to type on dutch/belgian/us keyboards). You just have to adapt a
bit, but it's always the same, it's not really important how fast you
write, the most important is how fast you get the algorythm. For me the
dollar sign ($) is under the backspace (right bracket for us layout i
think), but then again, i have a separated (two piece) keyboard and a
lot of keys are on different places then usual french keys. (the
asterisk (*) is under the enter and right to the right shift key).
