problems running when PHP enabled on UK2.net

I am new to PHP scripting but have managed to get it up and running
locally on an old PC.
I have just upgraded my web space to have PHP enabled with UK2.net
Their help info says just ftp the php files and the server will
identify that they are PHP script from the file type.
This does not seem to be the case see as I have ftp'ed to the site and
nothing displays for the file : http://hpcsolutions.co.uk/phpinfo.php

I do not seem to be able to get a reply from their tech support.

Should I be putting the files in a specific folder so they are
recognised PHP command as I do on my local server, directory htdocs?

Any help or suggestions at all would be greatly apprieciated!
