I just went to PostgreSQL.org and donated $20 to it from the donate
link. I'll probably do more over time this year. It's just that PHP and
PostgreSQL have done so much for me in terms of my career and my
ability to knock out stuff at work really fast, and have it run with
little management overhead.
I want to see PHP and PostgreSQL succeed and not get hung up with costs
so much that they don't keep making it available and don't keep making
it free.
So where can I donate a small sum of money to the people who make PHP
possible for me to download on Linux?
I went to the Zend site, although I know that Zend isn't the only
contributor these days. I'm not really interested in purchasing any
Zend products at this time, but I could reasonably contribute to Zend
if they even had a donation link, which I didn't find. I also didn't
find one on the PHP.net site, which also has been useful for me because
of the excellent Wiki style online documentation available there with
plenty of examples.
