Hi,
I have been developing on Postgresql my whole PHP life.
I had an easy start by buying the great book: Practical Postgresql by
Worsley and Drake.
By O'Reilly as usual. :-)
Allthough it starts by assuming you have SQL knowledge, it will teach you
all the basics, but it is not a SQL book, but a Postgresql book.
If you are familiar with SQL (which you are because you did a lot on mySQL)
this is a great resource to start with.
Also the online documentation is good, but little educative, and that is
where this books comes in.
I guess there are a lot of other great books out there, but this is the only
one I needed.
It also covers the scriptinglanguage PL/pgSQL to write triggers and stored
functions and such.
Regards,
Erwin Moller
