If this were a serious offer from a serious company, I would expect a serious email address. Or at least a web site where you could learn more about the job and possibly apply.

Well, there are many small non-profits around here, some of which might not have great expertise in the technical area. That doesn't mean they're not serious.
Yes, and there are a lot of sleazy headhunters out there who troll for resumes.
Even a small non-profit should be able to post info on a website. And I doubt they would be looking for a "senior PHP developer".
