Did you happen to notice that the vast majority of these spammers (here in C.L.P) use Google Groups?

User-Agent: G2/1.0 - the current bane of Usenet - has also extended eternal September for, well, another eternity.

BTW, did you know that Google Groups posts your complete, non-munged email address to Usenet? I suspect the writers of email harvesting bots love that.



Not anymore. They hide the emails now.

And Google acquired an internet company Deja which provided Usenet services. I am unsure if Deja would have handled the current spamming better than Google.
